Possession

My body you may borrow

from time to time

My heart is one

you'll have to find

My soul, you see

is the devil's own

But my mind is mine

and mine alone

Bouquet

Red roses

are your conceit

you wish to show me off

but I am not your prize.

Purple orchids

are your innocence

you try so hard to impress me

but I am not your mother.

Orange tiger lilies

are your problems

you give so that I will listen

but I am not your shrink

Wildflower

a single flower

grows wild

in the darkest corner

within the strongest walls

of a hidden garden

watered with solitude

nourished by dreams

protected from pain

she thrives in a place where none can find her

unless she wants to be found

and if you never pluck her from her garden

then she will be yours

forever
